The Path That Led Me Here

My path has been shaped by curiosity, reflection, and a deep listening—to story, to place, and to what quietly calls me forward.

I am a listener first—a quiet witness.

For more than twenty years, my work has lived at the intersection of storytelling and facilitation, creating spaces where people feel at ease to share their lived experience.

Through film and community-based storytelling, I gather moments of wisdom and quiet truth. These are not stories shaped by scripts or performance, but by attention, dignity, and trust.

What matters most is what becomes visible in that space—when something real can be expressed without pressure or expectation.

This work lives at the confluence of wisdom and wonder—where experience meets awe, and something essential reveals itself naturally.

Stories Told on Film is both a body of work and an evolving practice, guided by listening and shaped by the people and moments it is invited to serve.

This work has been shared with individuals, communities, and organizations across Canada and the United States, and in conference settings, including the World Conference on Restorative Practices in the UK.

If you feel drawn to this work, I would be honoured to connect.

Behind the Lens

This is a reflection on the work itself—on listening, witnessing, and the quiet space where stories reveal themselves.

This is the heart of the work—what I have come to understand through the lens, and why I do what I do.

Filmed remotely in France by my colleague John Oliver, it captures our conversation, inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s words: ‘We must find a story big enough to inhabit.’
