Nest Well is a film project commissioned by the Centre for Earth and Spirit Society designed to gather the compelling stories and lived experiences of elders who are re-inventing their aging experience, establishing creative housing alternatives that offer a more vibrant and harmonious way of living on earth.

These new and renewed models for living have the capacity to radically address the housing crisis, explore community-based alternatives to traditional private senior housing and residential care homes, while addressing the issues of loneliness and well-being.

After exploring ecovillages, home sharing, intentional communities and transition towns, we turned the camera to catch four vital stories of community-based solutions.  Pioneers who have found the middle ground, unwilling to wait for government solutions, and instead forged ahead with their vision to live lightly, in the company of others, in the second half of life.  We hope that their models will inspire and create a ripple effect for all who are seeking creative ways for aging in place.
