A documentary film in progress

Time to Heal

Broken doesn't always mean beyond repair.

When a traumatc brain injury changes everything, healing begins on a different clock.

Ric's story

A life interrupted. An art discovered.

A world-class adventurer – a mountaineer, a pilot, a circumnaviator, an athlete who lived by his body and his instruments – loses everything to a traumatic brain injury.

Years into an isolation he never chose, he finds an unlikely lifeline: the quiet, exacting art of restoring antiue pocket watches.  At his workbench, Ric found a new way forward.  Told through his experience and the eyes of his wife and filmmaker, Kim, Time to Heal follows the losses, the love and the unexpected life that emerged.

Kim | Filmmaker & Caregiver

“I watched the life we knew unravel and dissolve – and in letting go, we discovered a life reimagined.”
